Thank You, Men.

Before we move forward, we pause.

I want to say thank you.

To every player who wore a Seaforth jersey this year — thank you for trusting me enough to let me coach you. Thank you for buying into the culture. Thank you for showing up early, staying late, pushing through tough practices, film sessions, lifts, and adversity.

This season didn’t happen because of schemes.
It happened because of sacrifice.

You didn’t just win games.
You built a standard.

Conference Champions.
Tournament Champions.
All-Conference players.
Player of the Year.
Coach of the Year.

Those honors reflect something deeper — discipline, commitment, and belief.

You established a precedent for what Seaforth basketball looks like when it’s done the right way.

To my coaching staff — Andre Nabors, Barrett Freeman, James Thurston, and Shane Scott — thank you for your loyalty, wisdom, and honesty. Every championship team needs alignment, accountability, and leadership behind the scenes. You provided that every single day. I am grateful beyond words for the time, energy, and heart you poured into these young men.

To our parents — thank you for trusting us with your sons. Thank you for the rides, the late nights, the schedule changes, the practices, the commitments, and the sacrifices. Thank you for showing up — home and away — loud, proud, and supportive. Your belief in this program matters more than you know.

To the Seaforth and Chatham community — you showed up until the very end. Road trips. Support. Energy. Belief. You helped make this season special.

Men, understand this:

Because of what you built this year, the future is bright.

You’ve made other players want to be part of this. You’ve made younger athletes watch differently. You’ve made Seaforth basketball mean something.

That’s legacy.

The season may be over — but what you started is not.

I love each of you.
I’m proud of each of you.
And I’m grateful for what we built together.

Now we protect it.

Big 7 All-Conference Honorees:

I want to take a moment to recognize and congratulate the following players for earning Big 7 Conference Honors this season:

🏀 All-Conference

🏆 Player of the Year

These honors are not given — they are earned.

They reflect leadership, consistency, discipline, and impact on winning. Each of you represented Seaforth basketball with excellence, and this recognition is a direct result of the work you’ve put in all year.

Every one of these honors is well deserved.

I couldn’t be more proud of you.

Leadership Off the Court – March 4 Reading Event:

We’ve been invited to participate in Read Across America Week at Moncure Elementary. They’ve asked if members of the Seaforth men’s varsity basketball team would be willing to come read to students on March 4 from 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM.

This is bigger than basketball.

This is an opportunity to lead in our community. To show younger students what Seaforth athletes represent — leadership, character, and service. You never know the impact you can make simply by showing up, reading a book, and encouraging a young student.

If you are available and interested in participating, please let me know as soon as possible so we can coordinate.

Proud of how you represent this program — on and off the court.

What’s Next:

The season is over.

The standard is not.

Championship teams don’t drift into the offseason — they transition with purpose. So here’s what the next phase looks like.

First, we handle our responsibilities.

On Monday (3/2), we clean out lockers and return game uniforms. That may feel like a simple task, but it represents something bigger. We take care of what represents Seaforth basketball. We finish the season the right way.

On Wednesday (3/4), we’ll conduct exit interviews. This is where growth begins. Honest conversations. Honest reflection. What did you do well? Where must you improve? Championship programs don’t avoid evaluation — they embrace it.

On Friday (3/6), we will announce the date for our Awards Banquet. That night will be about celebrating what you accomplished — Conference Champions. Tournament Champions. Individual honors. History made. We will honor the work.

Then we turn the page.

Starting in April 2026, open gyms begin.

And that’s where next season quietly starts.

Open gym is not about attendance — it’s about ownership. It’s about who wants to lead. Who wants to improve. Who wants to protect what was built this year.

The season may have ended in the second round, but the climb toward the next banner begins now.

Championship teams don’t wait for November.

They build in the spring.

Let’s handle what’s next — together.
