Statement Week:

This is a statement week for our program.

We are balancing exam week, shortened 60-minute practices, and the challenge of playing two tough road games — including one against one of the top teams in the state. This week will test our focus, discipline, and maturity.

Make no mistake: we are the hunted. Lots of opponents want a piece of us.

The Challenge Ahead

We travel to Eastern Alamance and South Granville, two environments designed to create chaos. How we respond will define who we are.

Eastern Alamance

They thrive on disorder. Our edge comes from composure.

  • Stay calm under pressure and chaos
  • Attack their trapping defense by spacing the floor and hunting great shots, not rushed ones
  • Play disciplined, connected defense
  • Finish every defensive stop with a rebound

South Granville

This game is about containment and intensity.

  • Stay in front of the basketball
  • Eliminate dribble penetration
  • Sprint back and play elite transition defense
  • Bring solid, intense, physical defense for 32 minutes

Who We Are

We enter the week 8–4 overall and 4–0 in conference. That record means nothing unless we continue to earn it. This week, we’ll face a press on steroids, hostile road environments, and mental fatigue.

Our response must be a heightened level of intensity, physicality, and urgency.

Be first to the ball.
Be first in communication.
Be first in effort.
Be first in mindset.

Handle academics. Handle the road. Handle the moment.

This is Statement Week.
