Senior Day Announcement:

We are excited to announce that Senior Day for Seaforth’s men’s varsity basketball team will take place on Fri, 2/7, when we host Southeast Alamance.

Please share this special date with family and friends! It will be a memorable day for our seniors, as it represents one of their final games.

Let’s spread the word and ball out!

Fundraising Update and Next Steps:

I wanted to update you on our fundraising initiative, which concluded in December 2024. We successfully raised a total of $8,149, with our varsity team contributing $5,112 and the JV team raising $3,037.

As of now, the funds are securely held in Seaforth’s Hawks Nation bank account. I have not yet utilized these funds, as my priority has been to keep our focus on helping the players develop their skills and work together as a team on the court.

The funds can be allocated for several purposes (pending approval from the athletic administration), including but not limited to:

  • Uniforms (such as shooter’s shirts)
  • Training equipment
  • Tournament entry fees
  • End-of-season banquet
  • Basketball team camps and clinics
  • Coach education
  • Practice gear
  • Team-building activities

Please note that, per the guidance from the athletic administration, these funds cannot be used for pre-game meals. Any expenses for pre-game meals should be independently collected, organized, and managed by parents.

I am open to suggestions on how to best utilize the raised funds, aside from pre-game meals.

I would appreciate your thoughts and ideas. Please reply by text (919-428-0233), whether you are a player or a parent, and let me know what you think!

Determination and Grit - The Keys to Our Team's Success:

Resiliency is defined as the ability to recover, adapt, and bounce back from adversity, stress, or challenging situations. This is a quality our men’s varsity basketball team have demonstrated consistently.

Throughout this season, our team has encountered several setbacks. We began with a record of 0-3 and faced two additional stretches during which we lost two games in a row.

However, we have since won four out of our last six games, with losses only to the top two teams in the conference.

Time and again, we have risen to the challenge and continued to fight. Despite the ups and downs, we have remained determined and have positioned ourselves to contend for a top ranking in our conference while also aiming for a state playoff bid.

Let us continue to be resilient and believe in ourselves!

By maintaining this mindset, you’ll not only achieve success on the court but in life, as well.
