This is Championship Week!
CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK: ONE GAME. ONE MOMENT. ONE LEGACY.
We are 14–5 overall and 9–1 in conference.
This season has been special — the kind of season people talk about years later. The kind of season that doesn’t come around often. But we’re not done. Because now we’ve arrived at the moment every team dreams about and only a few ever reach.
Tuesday night. Home court. South Granville.
Win that game… and we are conference champions.
Everything we’ve worked for — every offseason workout, every preseason sprint, every film session, every hard practice, every rep, every sacrifice — it all comes down to this one game.
This is the week where good teams become unforgettable teams.
ALL HANDS ON DECK
This is not the time for half effort.
This is not the time for distractions.
This is not the time to be tired.
This is the time to be locked in.
We need everyone fully committed at:
- Practice
- Shoot-around / walk-thru
- Game time
Championships aren’t won by talent.
They’re won by togetherness.
WE HAVE A CHANCE TO DO THE IMPROBABLE
We have an opportunity to do something that almost no one thought would happen:
Win the conference.
Only the second time in school history.
That’s not luck. That’s not magic.
That’s hard work meeting belief.
SOUTH GRANVILLE BEAT US BEFORE… AND WE DIDN’T FORGET
They had our number last time.
There were reasons. There were circumstances.
But the bottom line is simple:
They beat us.
And that’s why Tuesday isn’t just another game.
It’s personal. It’s unfinished business.
HOW WE WIN
We don’t win this game by hoping.
We win it by playing Seaforth basketball — the way we’ve trained to play.
We have to come out with:
Physicality. Passion. Urgency. Intent. Aggression.
We must be patient against their 1-3-1.
We must value the ball and make them guard for 32 minutes.
And defensively?
Transition defense is everything.
No jogs. No excuses. No easy baskets.
In the half court:
Defend. Rebound. Repeat.
Because championships come down to one thing:
Winning possession after possession after possession.
PROTECT OUR HOUSE
We’re 6–1 at home.
The only loss was the first game of the season.
This gym is our territory.
And Tuesday night, it needs to feel like it.
PLAY FOR SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF
Dedicate this game to:
- Your years of hard work
- Your parents who have sacrificed
- Your teammates who have fought beside you
- The Seaforth community that believes in you
Because if we get this done…
We hang a banner.
And that banner will live in the gym forever.
Long after we’re gone.
Long after graduation.
Long after the season ends.
Fifty years from now, you’ll walk into the gym and you’ll be able to say:
“I helped build that.”
PACK THE GYM
Tell your family.
Tell your friends.
Tell your neighbors.
Tell everyone who supports you.
Let’s make Tuesday night a memory the Seaforth community never forgets.
This is our moment.
This is our opportunity.
This is our championship.
Let’s protect our house. Let’s finish the job.
Love you fellas.
Now let’s go earn it.
