Banquet - Closing the Loop:
Every season has a beginning, a middle, and an end.
But great seasons have something more — they have closure.
Think back to where this journey started.
Summer 2025 open gyms. Early mornings. Empty gyms.
Basketball bootcamps. Pre-season workouts. Tryouts where nothing was guaranteed.
Then came the grind.
Six days a week. Two-hour practices.
Film study. Conditioning. Repetition.
Home games. Away games. Long activity bus trips.
Wins that felt incredible. Losses that tested who we were.
Ups. Downs. Tournament games. Pressure moments.
Through all of it, something bigger was built.
Not just a team — a brotherhood.
Friendships that will last a lifetime.
A standard that future players will be measured against.
A culture that didn’t exist until you created it.
Now the season has concluded.
But one last thing remains.
The banquet.
On Saturday, March 21 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, we will hold our annual Men’s Basketball Banquet at The Preserve Clubhouse (833 The Preserve Trail, Chapel Hill, NC 27517).
This is how we close the loop.
Finishing the season the right way means more than the last game.
It means coming back together one more time.
It means putting an exclamation mark on everything we built.
It means showing respect to the program, to your teammates, and to yourself.
Treat the banquet like it’s a championship game.
Bring the same pride.
Bring the same energy.
Bring the same commitment to the brotherhood.
This will be the best banquet this program has ever had.
Players together one last time.
Parents seeing the young men you’ve become.
Food. Banners. Trophies. Championship shirts. Special awards.
A celebration of everything that was earned.
Whatever you do — be there.
Your presence shows gratitude.
Your presence shows respect.
Your presence shows commitment to the brotherhood.
Finish the job.
Close the loop.
See you Saturday, March 21
5:00pm – 7:00pm
The Preserve Clubhouse.
Mandate for Improvement (Offseason Message):
The season is over, which means the offseason has begun — and this is where players separate themselves.
Your goal right now should be simple:
Get 1% better every day.
Don’t just play with your friends.
Don’t just stay where you’re comfortable.
Growth happens when you compete against better players, attend elite camps, play in tough environments, and study the game on your own.
Watch film from last season.
Play against stronger competition.
Train with purpose.
If you only stay in the same circle, your improvement will only reach the level of that circle — and that may not be enough to earn a role next season.
Every year, we will play the best players.
If you want to be one of them, use this offseason to become a dominant player — not just on this team, but in the league.
